Applications are now open for a PhD scholarship within the Horizon Europe project INTERFACED (Interfaces for Democratic Participation: Deliberation, Mobilization and Contestation Since the Onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic).
The INTERFACED project undertakes a comparative study involving eight European countries and Tunisia, exploring a wide range of political contexts. It employs a broad array of research methods—from large-scale surveys and experiments to computational data analysis and qualitative and ethnographic approaches—with the aim of developing a comprehensive understanding of political participation across these countries.
By examining how individuals and institutions interact, INTERFACED seeks to bridge the gap between citizens and decision-makers by identifying forms of engagement that can strengthen democratic systems. Through the provision of practical policy recommendations, the project aspires to foster more inclusive political systems and reduce inequalities.
The deadline for submitting applications is 24 July 2025 at 1:00 PM (CET).
